For its anniversary, Seiko presents a special Prospex edition that captures the characteristic hue of Edo Purple. This color represents the aesthetics of the Edo period and symbolizes a cultural legacy that continues to be passed down to this day. The watch combines traditional Japanese design with the modern spirit of Tokyo and continues the line of the historic 1959 Laurel Alpinist.

Design & Character

The dial features a deep "Edo Purple" that reveals different nuances depending on the incidence of light. The Prospex HBC006J1 is robust, functional, and elegant – a versatile sports watch for outdoor adventures and everyday wear. The stainless steel case with super-hard coating ensures high durability, while the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside guarantees clear visibility. An internal rotating compass ring underscores the Alpinist character.

This edition is limited to 7,000 pieces worldwide.
