This Seiko QR (Quartz Regular) reference 3862-7010 belongs to the early generation of Japanese quartz watches. It was produced in September 1973 , identifiable by the serial number 39xxxx (3 = 1973, 9 = September). The model comes from the period when Seiko transitioned quartz technology to a mass-market segment – ​​immediately after the high-priced Astron and 38SQ models.

The striking feature is the intensely blue sunburst dial with silver indices and a date display at 3 o'clock. The case has distinctive, faceted edges, reflecting the early "slope case" style of the 1970s. The watch is fitted with a new, original Seiko leather strap (blue, crocodile embossing).

The battery was replaced in November 2025 .
