Seiko Seikomatic Weekdater 6206-8010 – Vintage Automatic 1965 (January 1965)
Classic Japanese automatic watch with caliber 6206A – manufactured in January 1965
This Seiko Seikomatic Weekdater Ref. 6206-8010AD is an elegant example of Japanese watchmaking from the 1960s – manufactured in January 1965 (serial number 51xxxxx).
It belongs to the early Seikomatic series , which is considered the predecessor line of the later Seiko Lord Matic and Presmatic models and is known for its exceptional build quality and precision.
At its heart is the tried-and-tested Seiko caliber 6206A with 26 jewels and Diashock shock protection – a robust automatic movement with manual winding and quick-set date. It displays the day of the week and date in separate windows at 3 and 9 o'clock, with a switchable English or Japanese display.
The silver sunburst dial with applied indices, faceted hands and the classic “Seikomatic” lettering gives the watch a clear, harmonious look that is typical of Seiko’s mid-century design.
The newly fitted original Seiko leather strap made of lizard leather completes the authentic look.
