This exceptional Seiko SQWK033 belongs to a rarely seen model series from the Japanese domestic market: the so-called "Tactile Watches". Originally designed for visually impaired users, it combines functional sophistication with the clear, minimalist design language for which Seiko is valued in Japan.
What's special: The case has a hinged lid that reveals the dial. The time can thus not only be seen but also felt – a concept that is hardly produced anymore today and gives this watch a unique position between a design object and a functional instrument.
This particular piece dates from July 2020 and is in unworn NOS condition including a complete set with box, hangtags and original Seiko leather strap. Particularly noteworthy is the finely crafted, almost flawless dial with applied indices, which gives this small watch a surprisingly high-quality appearance.
Inside, the proven Seiko quartz calibre 4J27 works, which stands for reliability and everyday suitability.
Especially outside Japan, these models are rarely found – especially in a complete set and in this condition.
