TACS PLP "Point Line Plane" TS1501B – Designer Quartz – Display Model, Unworn

The TACS PLP is one of those Japanese design watches where classic watchmaking is deliberately reduced to its most elementary components.

PLP stands for Point – Line – Plane.

TACS directly applies this geometric principle to time display. A point and a line form the minute display; a diamond-shaped surface with the inscription HOUR handles the hour display.

There is deliberately no second hand.

Japanese Concept Design

TACS belongs to that group of modern Japanese watch brands where the design idea, rather than technical complications, is the focus.

With the PLP, the usual notion of a dial is almost completely dissolved.

No Arabic or Roman numerals, no classic minute track, and no conventional hour hand define the image. Instead, a graphic composition of point, line, and geometric surface moves across the dial.

The result is more reminiscent of an object from industrial design or architecture than a traditional wristwatch.

The PLP was deliberately designed by TACS as a minimalist design watch. Characteristic features include the wide leather strap, the absence of a second hand, and the consistent implementation of the "Point-Line-Plane" principle.

Case and Strap

The dark round case appears extremely minimalist.

The small crown blends discreetly into the case shape.

The strap's construction is particularly unusual: the wide brown leather strap appears to be visually clamped directly between the case and the back.

This creates the impression of a design object developed from a few basic geometric elements.

Condition

This watch is a near-unused display item.

Original tag and protective foils on the front and back are present.

Due to storage and transport, minimal signs of storage may be present. The actual condition is shown unretouched in the product images.
