Omoide Sakura – Memory Shaped

The original design “Kawazu Zakura” referred to an early-blooming cherry blossom species. The new version goes a step further: it captures the longing to preserve the beauty of Sakura – not only in the heart, but also in an object that remains.

Echizen Urushi – 9000 Years of Lacquer Tradition

Echizen Urushi comes from the Echizen region in Fukui Prefecture and is one of Japan’s oldest lacquer traditions.
The lacquer is obtained from the sap of the Urushi tree and applied in extremely thin layers. Each layer must dry completely before the next one is applied – a process that can take months.
