Wancher Dream Pen Rising Sun Maki-e - Sansui

Each Rising Sun Maki-e fountain pen is a handcrafted one-of-a-kind piece. Due to the many manual steps involved, natural variations in thickness, texture, and pattern occur – no two pens are exactly alike. If you appreciate the beauty of true craftsmanship, you will love the uniqueness of your Rising Sun model.

Rising Sun Maki-e – Art in Gold & Tradition

The Dream Pen Rising Sun Collection combines traditional Yamanaka-nuri lacquer techniques with Kinpaku (real gold leaf) and modern Kindai Maki-e art.
The result is a collection that interprets Japanese symbolism and classical painting in a contemporary form.

The series features two iconic motifs deeply rooted in Japanese art history:
– Ryu (Dragon) – Power, Protection, Wisdom
– Sansui (Landscape) – Harmony, Nature, Balance

Each model bears the signature of Japanese artistic tradition and exudes a special depth and elegance.

Design & Craftsmanship

The Rising Sun Dream Pen is crafted in a minimalist, traditional Cigar Design.
The combination of an ABS body, gold leaf, and Maki-e finishing creates a harmonious balance of lightness, robustness, and luxurious appearance.

The surface is built up in several layers, polished, and finalized – a process that requires precision, patience, and experience.

Perfect Balance for Daily Writing

Wancher places great importance on ergonomics:
The Rising Sun sits balanced in the hand, has a pleasant weight, and allows for a relaxed, controlled writing experience – ideal for long writing sessions or conscious daily writing.

The airtight cap reliably protects the nib from drying out.

Nib & Writing Experience

The Dream Pen is available with a high-quality #6 JoWo stainless steel nib in M / Medium.

This allows the writing performance to be perfectly adapted to personal preferences.
