The Dream Watch – Raden is a masterpiece of Japanese lacquer art, symbolizing the union of three ancient craft techniques: Urushi , Maki-e , and Raden . The dial is handcrafted layer by layer in the renowned Taya Shikkiten lacquer workshop in Wajima, Japan , in a meticulous process demanding the utmost precision and patience.
The focus is on the artfully designed dial:
– Urushi lacquer in deep black forms the base
– Maki-e enhances the overall look with fine lines and highlights
– Raden , the inlay of tiny splinters of mother-of-pearl , creates the image of a sparkling starry sky – like rays from a distant galaxy.
Each of these dials is unique , created by hand over many months. No two patterns are alike – each watch tells its own story of light, space, and silence. The silver-colored, highly polished stainless steel case accentuates the luminosity of the mother-of-pearl fragments and provides the perfect setting for this poetic miniature world.
